Welcome! We are so glad you are here and allowing us to be a resource for your healing journey! Deeper Roots Therapy was founded in 2019 by the director, Emilee Scruggs as a sole practitioner. Over time, the practice grew and Emilee’s passion was to both provide a wide array of mental health specializations to clients as well as create an environment in which therapists can thrive! Our heart at Deeper Roots Therapy is to make sure that every individual who walks through our door knows that their story matters and is safe with us! Our therapists range in working with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and more! Appointments & Scheduling
We have offices located in Simpsonville and Mauldin. We also offer online therapy. Appointments can be scheduled through our Contact Page or by phone. We will help get you connected to the clinician who best meets your needs and availability.
Billing & Fees
Our group is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum United Healthcare, Aetna, TRICARE and Cigna. Participating clinicians are able to accept Blue Choice and Healthy Blue Medicaid, Humana Medicaid, and Healthy Connections Medicaid. We have a billing team who submits claims to your insurance. In order to ensure smooth services and billing, copays and balances are due at the time of services and may be given in the form of credit card, debit card, and HSA cards. Payments are also able to be made through our Therapy Portal for existing clients.
